Conscious Consumerism

Conscious Consumerism:

  • Shop with intention!  I recently joined ThreadUP to upcycle old clothing and to thrift second hand clothing that would have landed in a landfill.  I was shocked to learn how the fast fashion industry contributes to biodiversity loss and greenhouse commissions at an exuberant rate.

  • Recycle beauty cosmetics! Seek out eco conscious beauty companies like Credo  that offer an incentive program where customers earn rewards for cleaning (thoroughly!) and recycling products.

  • Invest in reusable snack bags and glass water bottles!  There are so many affordable and dishwasher-safe alternatives to single-use plastic. Eating with silverware at work encourages me to slow down and taste every mouthful. I believe in the healing power of foods to nourish your body, boost your energy, and restore your natural radiance. The “grab and go and toss” mentality is not good for our body, planet or soul!
